As a global grand event in the rubber and plastics industry, "CHINAPLAS 2025" presents a comprehensive picture of the prosperity of the entire rubber and plastics technology industry chain. It covers innovative achievements in advanced materials, intelligent manufacturing solutions, and innovative technology products, spanning multiple downstream application fields such as automotive, electronics & electrical, packaging, medical & health, building materials, new energy, and sports & leisure.
More than 4,500 high-quality rubber and plastics suppliers from 39 countries and regions gathered together. Over 3,800 mechanical exhibits took the stage at the innovation venue to shine, and more than 1,600 raw material suppliers competed and showcased their strengths on the same platform. The exhibition not only grandly released numerous breakthrough achievements in the industry—with over 120 global/Asian premiere technologies making stunning appearances—but also brought a large number of innovative and cost-effective practical solutions, providing optimal options for rubber and plastics production to reduce costs and increase efficiency. Notably, among the more than 4,500 global exhibitors, there are over 980 "Specialized, Refined, Distinctive, and Innovative" exhibitors, including 260 national-level "Little Giant" enterprises, fully demonstrating the remarkable charm of "High-end Technology, Made in China".
For the first time, the "Green Plastics & Intelligent Innovation Hub" was held concurrently with the exhibition. Focusing on high-quality manufacturing applications in automotive, electronics & electrical, medical, and packaging sectors, it displayed leading injection molding production lines on-site, intuitively demonstrating how precision injection molding empowers innovative design, and in-depth analyzing innovations from material research and development, injection molding to end applications. Also making its debut was "Plastics 'Driving' Fashion", an event focusing on the sports and leisure industry. It closely linked sports, fashion with rubber and plastics technology, and discussed how sustainable and high-performance rubber and plastics materials as well as innovative technologies contribute to creating sports and leisure fashion. The "Application Seminar Series" carefully planned 6 thematic forums, covering over 40 hot topics such as recyclable medical packaging, strategies and practices for cost reduction and efficiency improvement in electronics & electrical industry, and new trends in chain catering packaging. It discussed the development trends and technological prospects of the application industry, providing broad horizons for industry insiders.
Behind the vigorous development of emerging fields, innovation in the rubber and plastics industry plays a crucial role. At this exhibition, a wide range of innovative solutions that break the boundaries of downstream applications emerged one after another. For instance, PEEK (Polyether Ether Ketone) helps reduce the weight of humanoid robot joints, improve battery life and service life; PPA (Polyphthalamide) promotes the lightweight, high-temperature resistance, and deformation resistance of humanoid robot skeletons; carbon fiber composite materials "slim down" UAV fuselages and aircraft frames; single-walled carbon nanotubes, with high flexibility and high electrical conductivity, are applied in lithium-ion batteries, supercapacitors, aerospace materials and other fields.
The continuous expansion of application scenarios brings unlimited imagination and broad business opportunities to the rubber and plastics industry. Thermoplastic composites such as PC (Polycarbonate) and PPS (Polyphenylene Sulfide) can realize the lightweight of automotive battery cases and motors; PPA with excellent heat resistance can be applied to components of new energy vehicles that withstand extreme temperature changes; medical transparent PP (Polypropylene) with high heat resistance is used in medical supplies that require high-temperature steam sterilization; polypropylene easy-peel lidding films replace aluminum foils, reducing carbon emissions and costs; high-performance films designed specifically for single-material recyclable packaging help reduce carbon; stretch blow molding technology can produce lightweight and high-strength packaging containers. What also filled the exhibition with "novelty" in technology were the wonderful speeches and interactive activities held concurrently, igniting sparks of ideas with the spark of knowledge. The "3rd Scientists Forum" invited academicians and scientists including Cheng Zhengdi, Tang Benzhong, Zhang Liqun, Ramakrishna Seelam, Ito Kozo, and Gao Ping to share the future development trends and breakthrough achievements in the field of macromolecules and their applications. In the cutting-edge dialogue session, a "brainstorming" on the "Boundary-Breaking Revolution" of polymer materials in AI x Green Transformation x Low-Altitude Economy was held. The "Technology Platform" stunningly released more than 40 innovative technologies, covering six themes including efficient packaging solutions, green carbon reduction solutions, automotive lightweight solutions, rubber and thermoplastic elastomer technologies, 2025 new rubber and plastics materials, and 3D printing. The "Product Innovation Inspiration Library", with the theme of "Excellent Manufacturing Originates from Technology", exhibited more than 200 unique products, helping participants inspire ideas and efficiently connect with suppliers.
As the manufacturing industry moves towards high-end, intelligent, and green development, a large number of green solutions emerged at this exhibition. For example, biomass-balanced products significantly reduce carbon dioxide emissions; plastic molding solutions continue to increase the content of renewable raw materials; rPET (recycled Polyethylene Terephthalate) solid-state visbreaking equipment solves the problem of decreased viscosity and performance of rPET particles in the physical recycling industry; polypropylene produced through chemical recycling using waste plastics as raw materials has fully traceable and sustainable raw materials. At the same time, digital solutions and AI-upgraded machinery and systems also made their appearances, such as precision extrusion production lines integrated with IoT technology, recycling systems equipped with artificial intelligence, and intelligent dehumidifying dryers, opening up new paths for the high-quality development of rubber and plastics industry.
Centering on the circular economy, the exhibition held a series of rich concurrent activities. The "Plastic Recycling, Regeneration and Circular Economy Forum & Exhibition" held one day before the opening (April 14) attracted more than 800 industry elites. Authoritative experts and leading enterprises in the global plastic recycling and regeneration field jointly discussed the global plastic economy and recycling. During the exhibition, the "Sustainable Plastic Packaging Forum" explored the sustainable development path of the packaging industry from an international perspective and released the latest sustainable packaging solutions. On the exhibition site, there was also a "Remolding Journey" production line demonstration, where a number of high-quality equipment suppliers jointly demonstrated the plastic recycling closed-loop production line, including two production lines for food-grade PET recycling and high-value PE (Polyethylene) recycling. Through on-site operation, the whole process of high-value recycling and reuse was demonstrated.
High-quality exhibits and high-level exchange activities attracted high-quality global buyers. Professional buyers from approximately 150 countries and regions shuttled through the 19 exhibition halls, actively conducting technological and commercial cooperation and exchanges. The internationalization level of the exhibition continued to rise, and the proportion of overseas buyers is expected to exceed 20%. The exhibition is expected to welcome more than 430 domestic and overseas buyer groups for procurement, including over 80 overseas visiting groups, which greatly expands the breadth and depth of exchanges.
